This is Carlos’ brand new album: a completely revised version of “The Duck Who Loved Hens,” published by Albin Michel in 2000. Saubon is an unemployed, leftist intellectual, bolero singer, the little duck is profoundly disturbed by his origins: he is purportedly the guilty fruit of the love between a female duck and a gander. To escape his malaise, he seeks solace near the bar counters. And while Saubon harbors many doubts, there is one certainty he holds dear: his unrestrained love for women and his romantic prowess, which leave them all enraptured and breathless. Le Canard qui aimait les Poules won Best Foreign Album at Angouleme. This version’s pages are more than twice the size of the original and in color. Text in French. Out Of Print. Condition: Very Fine/As New. In Shrink Wrap.
