Thrilling, terrifying and entertaining in equal measure Liz Nugent, Number One Bestselling author of Strange Sally Diamond

The Story

Set against the haunting backdrop of war-torn Rome in February 1944, The Ghosts Of Rome unfolds the gripping tale of Contessa Giovanna Landini, a courageous member of the clandestine group known as The Choir. This band of Escape Line activists is dedicated to the perilous task of smuggling refugees and aiding Allied soldiers amidst the oppressive watch of Gestapo chief Paul Hauptmann.

As the Nazi occupation deepens, Giovannas resolve is tested in harrowing ways. The city, once a cradle of art and culture, is now a labyrinth of danger, betrayal, and moral ambiguity.
